I came home exhausted and found something beside my bed that stopped me cold. Tiny white spheres lay near the frame, turning a familiar bedroom into a place of frightening possibilities: eggs, insects, or something hiding nearby. But the closer I looked, the less certain I became, and one overlooked detail could change everything about the search for answ… Continues…
My first suspicion was that a house gecko had left eggs near the bed frame. These small reptiles sometimes shelter indoors and lay eggs in protected crevices or behind furniture. But location alone could not explain what I had found. Gecko eggs are generally oval, with firm, chalky shells, and females typically lay only a small number at a time. A cluster of matching, perfectly round beads would make that explanation less convincing.
Other possibilities were far more ordinary: loose foam from damaged bedding, plastic beads, or another manufactured material. Without a clear close-up, there was no reliable identification—and no reason to declare the bedroom dangerous. Rather than crush the objects, I would photograph them, check nearby pillows and furniture, and seek professional identification if needed. The discovery remained unresolved, but the lesson was clear: fear can arrive instantly; answers require a closer look and a little patience.
